PlantSee is an app to identify plants—and so much more. What began as a question as to how to identify local flora became a way to create real, meaningful communities.

At it’s core, PlantSee is all about learning. The app started when the creator was taking a hike and realized that they didn’t have an easy, reliable way to look up what plants they were looking at—and so, PlantSee was born.
PlantSee uses its database of samples and image recognition programs to reliably assess whatever you scan, and provide you more information.

We here at PlantSee think that knowledge is meant to be shared. That’s why PlantSee has tools to help foster communities of gardeners, hikers, botanists, farmers, and anyone simply curious about plants, wherever they might be. Connect, share, and build a community!
Design
PlantSee is made with utility in mind. It uses carefully selected colors that provide cheer without sacrificing legibility or feeling childish.
The clean shapes and layouts allow bright photographs of flowers and foliage to stand out, and allow for an intuitive user experience.
The fonts used were selected for legibility and to convey PlantSee’s educational, friendly, and modern mission.
